A Crossville area local, Dr. Johnny Shanks grew up here and feels privileged to be able to serve his local community with exceptional personalized dental care. He graduated from Campbellsville University with a BS in biology and chemistry. He attained his dental degree from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in Memphis. To provide exceptional care to his patients and their families, he’s also graduated from the Kois Center® for Dental Excellence, which teaches the latest advances in esthetics, implants, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Shanks partners with his patients to help you maintain your oral health and promises to keep you informed throughout your time at Northside Family Dentistry so you can make educated decisions about your dental and overall health.
He attained his dental degree from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in Memphis.
When not in the office, Dr. Shanks enjoys spending time with his wife Portia, who he’s been married to since 2005, and their four children.
Fun fact: Dr. Shanks played NAIA collegiate baseball for the Campbellsville Tigers, where his team’s hard work earned them the title of 2003 NAIA Conference Champions.
